Mary McWilliams graduated from Golden Gate University School of Law in San Francisco in 1995 and was admitted to the Colorado Bar that same year. In law school, Ms. McWilliams focused her education on litigation and was a Merit Scholar. During law school, Ms. McWilliams worked for the San Francisco District Attorney's Office handling juvenile criminal matters. After law school Ms. McWilliams moved back to Colorado and continued her prosecution career as a Deputy District Attorney. Ms. McWilliams worked as a prosecutor in Colorado for approximately seven years. Ms. McWilliams has been admitted to practice law in Colorado, New Jersey and New York. Ms. McWilliams focuses her practice on criminal, family and juvenile law. Ms. McWilliams has tried approximately 100 jury trials and 300+ trials to the Court. Since 2002 Ms. McWilliams has been active as a juvenile defense attorney, a guardian ad litem, and a Child and Family Investigator.
